The List management page allows users to create, view, and edit lists within a Partek® Flow® instance. To access the List management page, select the user avatar in the top right corner of the Partek Flow interface, select Settings from the pop-up menu, then select List Management from the panel on the left in the Partek Flow components section.  The List management page can be accessed by administrative and non-administrative users (Figure 1).

For each list, you can view the name, description, feature count, creator, and options to download (), edit the name or description of the list (), or delete the list ().

Create a new list

To create new list, select the New list button () on the top of the page and give the list a name. There are three ways to add a list:

  • Local file: has to be text file on the local computer
  • Text: manually specify a list of names
  • Hosted lists: lists hosted on Partek website,

When manually specify a file or a list of names to add list, only the user who added the list can view and use the lists. When lists downloaded from the hosted website, the lists can be viewed and used by all the users on the server.

List name has to be unique for each user. The description field is optional. The list of features can be specified from a .txt file by selecting the From file option (Figure 2). For this option, you can choose a .txt file from your local computer. The .txt file should contain only one column - a list of feature names.

To manually enter a list of genes, select the Text option (Figure 3). Content can be typed into the text field or pasted from the clipboard.

Select Save to add the list. The new list will be added to the list table with its name, description, number of features in the list, and creator information. The list can be downloaded as text file (), edit the name and description (), and deleted ().

Once a list is added to the Flow server, it can be used to filter data, e.g. to filter RNA-seq quantification data to only include or exclude the genes in a list.
