Node Locked

Partek Genomics Suite software and license resides on one computer (laptop, desktop, or server - any type). This type of license is only supported on Windows and Macintosh platforms. Any user with an account on the computer can use the license. The license is not locked to a certain user, it is locked to the machine. Remote access capability will not work with this type of license.

Floating Concurrent

The Partek Genomics Suite license is installed on one computer on the network, which becomes the "license server". The FLEXnet licensing software that we use is lightweight and undemanding, and can be installed on a desktop or an actual server-class machine. The machine just needs to stay on and be accessible over the network to the computers running Partek Genomics Suite. With this type of license, the software can be installed on as many computers on the network as you want. But the number of users that can use the software at once is limited by how many seats are purchased. Remote access is allowed with a floating license.

Locked Floating

The Partek Genomics Suite license is installed on one computer and can be accessed locally or remotely by one person at a time.
