This document describes the necessary steps to setup and configure a FlexNet license server for use with locked floating and floating concurrent Partek® Genomics Suite® licenses.

Floating Concurrent: The license is installed on one computer on the network, which becomes the "license server". The FLEXnet licensing software that we use is lightweight and undemanding, and can be installed on a desktop or an actual server-class machine. The machine just needs to stay on and be accessible over the network to the computers running Partek. With this type of license, Partek can be installed on as many computers on the network as you want. But the number of users that can use Partek at once is limited by how many seats are purchased. Remote access to Partek is allowed by a floating license.

Locked Floating: The license is installed on one computer and can be accessed locally or remotely to any one person at a time.
