Partek® Flow® contains a number of quality control tools and reports that can be used to evaluate the current status of your analysis, as well as decide on downstream steps. Quality control tools are organised under Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) section of the context sensitive menu and are available for unaligned and aligned reads data nodes.

In addition to the tools listed above, many other functionalities can also be interpreted in a sense of quality control. For instance, principal components analysis, hierarchical clustering (on sample level), variant detection report, and quantification report.When left single click on a task (rectangle) in the analysis pipeline, there is Task actions section show up on the pop-up menu, it allows user to:

  • Rerun task: re-run the selected task, the task dialog will popup, user can change parameter of the task. Downstream analysis of the selected task will not be rerun.
  • Rerun with downstream tasks: re-run the selected task, the task dialog will popup, user can change parameters of the current task, downstream analysis will be rerun with the same configuration of the previous one.
  • Edit description: description of the task can be replaced by manually type in string.
  • Change color: choose a color to apply on the selected task only when click on Apply, click Apply to downstream to change the selected task and all the downstream pipeline color with the selected color
  • Delete task: this option is only available when the user is the owner of the project or the owner of the task. When delete a task, all downstream tasks including tasks from other users will be deleted. You can check to choose delete the task's output files. If not check delete output files, the task will be removed from the pipeline, but the output files of the task will still be on the disk.
  • Restart task: this option is only available on failed task, and only available to users who has admin role. When restart a task, you don't need a license, the output file will count against the original owner of the task.
